In 2002 Tag Heuer announced its ambitious Monaco V4 concept watch. This one-of-a-kind concept watch boasted of features like the first-ever “belt-driven” movement, an automatic winding system that had a weight instead of a rotor that moved up and down in a linear fashion like a piston. This concept watch bowled over one and all with its one of a kind movement and features. Finally, after five long years, this concept watch is all set to turn into a reality as Tag Heuer will build 150 of the Monaco V4 watches as a limited edition to celebrate its 150th anniversary. The resemblance to the Monaco watch ends with the design. The first piece of this limited edition series will be auctioned off at the “Only Watch” charity auction in Monaco in September.
This limited edition Monaco V4 is expected to retail for a very high price and for those of you who wish to get a better look at this exquisite watch have a look at this video.
