Vacheron Constantin Malte Moon Phase and Power-Reserve timepiece will impress watch connoisseurs

Watch connoisseurs and lovers of luxury timepieces have forever been impressed with the Malte line of watches from Vacheron Constantin whose prominent feature is the barrel or tonneau-shaped case. Like all other timepieces from the Malte line, the new Malte Moon Phase and Power-Reserve timepiece too promise to woo every luxury watch lover. The tonneau-shaped case (measuring 39x49mm) of the new Malte frames a magnificently harmonious dial in silvered gold, striking a perfect balance between technical and traditional watchmaking. However, the most impressive feature is the dial, which has been adorned in five different finishes.

The inner zone has a silvered, finely hand-guilloché “Clous de Paris” or hobnail motif. The outer zone is decked with a vertical satin-brushed finish, also silvered. The minute circle, the power-reserve display, and the inscriptions Vacheron Constantin Genève and Swiss Made are all transferred, while the seconds subdial at 6 o’clock is circular satin-brushed. Lastly, the minute-circle and power-reserve zones are screen-printed in white. A glare-proofed cambered sapphire crystal protects the beautiful dial. The timepiece is available in two versions, 18-carat white gold or 5N pink gold. The moon phase display of this exquisite timepiece consists of a disc with a galvanized base and a moon face. The nine hour-markers, two Roman numerals, and a Maltese cross ensure user-friendly readability.
The timepiece is powered by a manual-winding 1410 caliber movement developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constantin. In addition to the hour and minute hands, Caliber 1410 drives a precision moon-phase display, which will not require any setting for more than 100 years. This 22-jewel manual-winding movement oscillates at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The exquisite Malte model is water-resistant up to 30meters and has a power reserve of 40 hours. The rose gold version has a chestnut brown strap while the pink gold version has a black leather strap. Both versions have a gold folding clasp matching the case color.
An exquisite timepiece, the Vacheron Constantin’s Malte Moon Phase and Power Reserve in white gold is priced at $34, 500 while the pink gold version is priced at $31,050.
