At the San Alfonso del Mar, a resort outside of Santiago, Chile, is the world's biggest swimming pool

It is officially the world's largest pool and reports say it cost as much as $2 billion to build.

A massive pool about the size of 16 football fields. It is more than 1,000 yards long and covers 20 acres.

It is a 115ft deep and holds 66 million gallons of water. It uses a computer-controlled suction and filtration system to draw fresh seawater in from the ocean at one end and pump it out at the other.

As taking laps would be a marathon job here, people can actually take Kayaks, canoes  and paddle boats to reach from one end to the other

There's also a saltwater pool inside that glass pyramid for people who prefer being indoors

The pool's bright and clear water colour matches the hue of the bordering ocean

It holds the title - “largest man-made lagoon” in the Guinness Book of World Records"
