The brainchild of Janne Honkanen, founder and chief executive of Luxury Action, the North Pole Igloos aims to provide guests a unique way of experiencing the adventures of the North Pole. The package includes flights between Svalbard and the North Pole and several luxuries such as en-suite bathrooms, an-on site manager (just in case), a wilderness survival guide, chef and top-notch security. Guests opting for the stay will further be put up inside heated igloo tanks fitted with glass dome roofs such that they can enjoy the wonders of the Northern Lights even from the inside. <\/p>\n
While commenting on the experience, Honkanen said, \u201cI thought that this is the time and the opportunity to give a chance for my guests to experience the North Pole with arctic explorers and scientists in a safe way,\u201d He further added, \u201c\u2018I wanted to create a more comfortable way to experience the North Pole as it is, by bringing cozy facilities to extreme conditions.\u201d The North Pole Igloos is slated to open in in 2020 and will operate only on April each year. <\/p>\n
