It is the first of the two special edition Chirons for 2020 Bugatti boss Stephan Winkelmann announced last year. The new Chiron version named Pur Sport is all about sporty handling and ultra-lightweight construction, with an added emphasis on aerodynamics. Starting with the engine, the Chiron Pur Sport gets the 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine found in the standard model; however, the engine has been tuned differently with the redline set 200 rpm higher than on the regular Chiron. The total output, however, remains unchanged at 1,500 horsepower. The automatic gearbox is also recalibrated with 15-percent closer gear ratios for improved power delivery and engine response.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/luxurylaunches.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Bugatti-Chiron-Pur-Sport-2-770x433.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"770\" height=\"433\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-209378\" \/><br \/>\nIn terms of design, the <a href=\"https:\/\/luxurylaunches.com\/tag\/Bugatti-Chiron\">Bugatti Chiron<\/a> Pur Sport gets noticeable changes, especially on the aerodynamic front. The aerodynamically optimized front fascia gets wider air openings and an enlarged horseshoe grille. The retractable rear spoiler has been swapped for a massive fixed wing that produces \u201cserious amounts of downforce\u201d. The new rear spoiler has also resulted in a weight saving of 110 pounds, which is quite significant. \u201cWe focused particularly on the agility of the Chiron Pur Sport,\u201d Frank Heyl, Bugatti\u2019s head of exterior design, explains. \u201cThe vehicle generates more downforce at the rear axle while the large, front splitter, air inlets, wheel-arch vents featuring optimized air outlets and a reduced vehicle height strike a clean balance at the front.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/luxurylaunches.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Bugatti-Chiron-Pur-Sport-3-770x433.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"770\" height=\"433\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-209377\" \/><br \/>\nThe Chiron Pur Sport also rides on new wheels made of magnesium that help shave off another 35 pounds. Bugatti says the wheels have been designed to boost brakes ventilation and aerodynamics. They are fitted with specially made Bugatti Sport Cup 2 R rubber by Michelin. The chassis has also been tweaked along with a new suspension setup that comes with 65 percent firmer springs at the front and 33 percent firmer springs at the rear. Inside the cabin, the leather upholstery is largely replaced by sporty Alcantara and features model-specific stitching on the seats and on the steering wheel, trim pieces.
