Unless you’ve been living under a rock, I’m sure you’ll be aware that owning exotic cars and animals is considered the ultimate status symbol for Middle Easterners. And thanks to all the different social media platforms, these people have found the perfect way to flaunt their prized possessions to the world. Call them influencers or social media celebrities, these people have an impressive fan following, especially on Instagram. But the automobile enthusiast in me cringes every time I see a social media post of an exotic animal that should rather be out in its natural habitat made to climb on equally exotic automobiles, just for the sake of likes. My heart bleeds thinking of what kind of damage would have been caused to cars while pulling off such stunts; turns out, it can be pretty bad. In the latest Instagram post, social media celeb Humaid Abdulla Albuqaish shows his friendly pet bear rip off a door from his Lamborghini.
