The blonde bombshell sought fellow fashionista and brunette designer Kerry Wearstler for a fashionable redecoration. “The presiding grande dame of West Coast interior design,” as declared by The New Yorker (and many among us), renders the West Village residence her trademark pizzazz in hues of burnished metals and lustrous minerals.

\nThe living room plays host to a Milo Baughman swivel armchair and vintage stools besides an airy decadence. Books sit atop a cocktail table and under a towering heel \u00e0 la In Her Shoes that starred the towering actress. The ceiling beams with a Murano-glass chandelier, a Mansour Modern rug sweeps the floor with custom-designed panache. A Pierre Chareau lamp rests on a circa-1960 Drexel chest. The fireplace flaunts a Charles Edwards screen; the painting is by Hunt Slonem, while television remains concealed in a Wearstler-designed brass cabinet. “It’s a bit like living in a silk-lined jewelry box,” adds Diaz; the custom rose-petal\u2013color wallpaper by de Gournay exudes oodles of de elegance. <\/p>\n

\n“Cameron has excellent taste and understands how colors work together and why quality pieces make rooms special,” says Wearstler. The author of Domicilium Decoratus has decked the dining area with a custom-made parchment-and-brass dining table by Vladimir Kagan; armchairs bearing the designer\u2019s own Groundworks linen. Fabrice Penaux paintings hang on a mirror-tile wall, while a Spanish circa-1960s chandelier adorns the ceiling.<\/p>\n

\n“I like that the counters show every water ring and squeeze of lemon juice. They give the place soul,” says Diaz of the kitchen. The space features fearless unsealed brass countertops and theatrical emerald-green cabinets by Viking.
\nThe wood floors are ebony-strain treated and cerused, of the place that evokes a timeless grace and revokes a classic reminiscence. <\/p>\n

\nThe boudoir comes silk-bedecked with drawers to walls laced in the fastidious fabric. The bed is bathed in Frette\u2019s silk linen with a Yves Delorme coverlet. A snow-white mohair chair screams \u201870s glamor, and the ceiling gleams gold with de Gournay\u2019s gilded paper. Even the insides of closets are wrapped in custom coverings or painted vivid shades, and the plush Mansour Modern rug makes the floor a lush feet haven. <\/p>\n

\nThe master bath is fit for Cleopatra to bathe in. Sheathed in glass tiles by Ann Sacks, its vanity and mirrors come parchment-covered and custom made, while the sink and fittings are by Waterworks. “I’m really going to miss those four-hour-long meetings with Kelly. I got to look at, touch, and talk about beautiful things,” says the actress whose award-worthy talents show in design as well.<\/p>\n

\nThe guest room betrays none of those flairs. It features a fabulous brass four-poster, custom-made again, flanked by parchment-covered nightstands. The Austrian ceiling fixture dates back to the 1960s, while the marble garden stool muses vintage. The painting is by Riccardo Prosperi, and the silk rug is by the Rug Company, for the diva\u2019s fortunate company.<\/p>\n

\nEven the bath boasts incredible luxury. Walls and vanity top surround the Bates and Bates sink in pink onyx. The brass fittings are Waterworks, the vintage sconces French, and the shower stall, custom-made like almost all else.<\/p>\n
