Rapper Drake could have paid more than $1.4 million for this limited edition Mercedes-Maybach SUV

If you think Drake $400,000 diamond-encrusted iPhone cover is impressive, wait till you see the latest luxury automobile to join the award-winning rapper’s garage that screams opulence! The Grammy winner now owns an ultra-rare version of the iconic G-Wagen. Called the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet, it’s a convertible version of the G 65 AMG with some the best luxury features offered on the Maybach luxury limo packed into the rugged, off-road body. Revealed in 2017, Mercedes built only 99 examples of the car and one of them was auctioned for a whopping $1.4 million. Tony Bet, Drake’s automobile guru and CEO of Toronto-based custom auto shop Driving Emotions Motorcar, broke the news on Instagram with the caption: “Price tag: $$$$$$$.”

The Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet is 22.75 inches longer than the standard G-Wagen, giving it extra space in the rear to fit the “first-class” rear seats from the Mercedes-Maybach S-class. A portion of the fixed roof is replaced by a power-operated fabric top, which makes it stand out from the rest. The uber-luxurious SUV also features a glass partition between driver and passenger can be made opaque at the press of a button. Underneath the hood is the AMG-sourced V12 motor that produces 621 horsepower. However, looking at the location-tag of the picture, we think this particular model is about to get some Brabus treatment, which will further increase the power and performance figures along with unspecified mods.
