Lais Ribeiro will be the VS angel to don the brand’s celebrated Fantasy Bra this year. Last year’s Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bra was a $3 million dollar diamond and emerald confection modeled by Jasmine Tookes; this year’s Champagne Nights bra is worth $2 million, but what it lacks in price, it certainly makes up for in beauty.
Created by Mouawad, the Champagne Nights bra weighs over 600 carats and is made from 18k gold handset with diamonds, yellow sapphires, and blue topaz. The intricate floral design uses 6,000 precious stones and took 350 hours to complete. The fantasy bra incorporates a necklace and has been paired with a matching belt. The large sapphire that hangs from the necklace and the teardrop shaped sapphire placed between the cups of the bra are the show-stopping jewels in this fantastical piece of lingerie.
As for the model Lais, she said she was honored to be chosen to wear the Fantasy Bra and cried after getting the news. Lais has been a VS model since 2010 but this is her first time wearing the Fantasy Bra.
