Patron Tequila and Evan Yurman produce a gold-plated bottle stopper

From tequila concocting to collaborating, Patron is doing it all! The luxury spirit company has introduced a limited edition bottle stopper for the holiday season in its spree of designer collaborations. The bottle accessory has been crafted exclusively for Patron Anejo by Evan Yurman, Chief Design Director for David Yurman men’s and timepiece collections. “It was a thrill to work with Patron on this unique project,” said Yurman, whose design, like Patron spirits, is bold, intricate, and utterly distinct.

The bottle-stopping collectible is, of course, functional by definition. What you’d be glad to know, though, is that the accessory is also très fashionable! The stopper is a stunner, die-cast in solid metal, and electroplated in 24K gold and gunmetal. Its two-toned sword design featuring elaborate metal carvings inspired by those on the handguards of 18th-century Japanese Samurai swords is truly exceptional.

It is also a great reflection of Yurman’s love for unique and rare artwork, artifacts, and objects, “throughout time, armor and weapons have represented the highest artistic and technical ability of the artisans who craft them. For me, there is an inseparable parallel between a finely honed weapon and a beautifully crafted piece of jewelry; they are truly one and the same and a natural extension of the work that inspires me.”

And reflecting a delicate blend of uniquely aged tequilas is Patron with its Anejo aged for a minimum of 12 months in small white oak barrels. Like winemaking, each vintage of Patron Anejo is carefully blended to produce a smooth and distinctive-tasting tequila, later packaged in handcrafted, recycled glass bottles. Adding to these already exquisite bottles, the stopper comes in a special limited edition gift box and will be available at select retailers across the U.S. for a price of $59.99.
