If you’re having a dessert craving, this might be the right time to book your flights to Hong Kong as the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong has announced a series of decadent Sweet Soirées at their Lounge and Bar on Level 102. Beginning from May 1st, the hotel will offer a French Dessert buffet spotlighting the irresistible creations of Gaël Moutet, Assistant Pastry Chef of the hotel, who is known as Monsieur Mille-feuille thanks to his expertise in creating the famous layered dessert.
Guests can expect tables laden with treats like Tarte au Citron, Pistachio Pave Hazelnut Chocolate Financier with Earl Grey and Raspberry Verrine. But the best part will certainly be the mille-feuille. Moutet’s classic French dessert will include three layers of puff pastry interspersed with smooth cream fillings in flavors like Mango, bourbon, chestnut and chocolate. These will be prepared right in front of the guests. The chef will also “guide guests on a journey to discovering mille-feuille” and its nuances.
