TripAdvisor has disclosed the winners of its Travellers’ Choice®awards for Landmarks. Based on inputs and reviews from globetrotters like you and me, the travel website has compiled a list of the top 10 landmarks. How were they analysed, you’d ask? Well, award winners were concluded using a complex algorithm that scoured through the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for landmarks worldwide, gathered over a 12-month period.
Not surprisingly so, Cambodia’s Angkor Wat bagged first place, while Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre in Abu Dhabi came in second. While Italy and Spain saw two of their historic landmarks featured, we’re extremely proud to have Taj Mahal featuring in fifth position.
