The partnership between Breitling and British luxury carmaker Bentley began back in 2003, making it the longest-running association between a watch brand and an automotive marque. Their latest collaborative effort comes in the form of a new limited edition timepiece that celebrates Bentley’s 100th anniversary. Called the Breitling Premier Bentley Centenary Limited Edition, the special timepiece was revealed at the ongoing 2019 Geneva Motor show alongside the Bentley Continental GT Number 9 edition by Mulliner. The limited edition timepiece is mechanically and aesthetically the same as the Premier B01 Chronograph introduced last year. Which means it features a 42mm case that houses the in-house chronometer certified B01 automatic chronograph. The brown elm burl dial of the Centenary Limited Edition mirrors the signature wood veneers Bentley uses in their luxury vehicles. It is available in two distinct finishes of stainless steel and 18K rose gold.
Both the stainless steel and 18K rose gold versions will come fitted with a brown quilted leather strap, while the stainless steel version will also come on a bracelet. The stainless steel version will be limited to 1000 examples and will retail for 9,600 CHF (about $9,500 USD). The 18K rose gold version, on the other hand, will be available in a limited number of 200 units, priced at 27,000 CHF (roughly $26,730 USD). Both versions will go on sale starting in July 2019. “The highly successful and long-standing collaboration between Bentley and Breitling is an impressive example of how brands with shared values work together in an authentic way to enhance the performance of both,” said Adrian Hallmark, Chairman and Chief Executive of Bentley Motors. “With our extraordinary motoring heritage of 100 years to build on, we are now firmly focused on a future characterised by our passion for innovation. Both Bentley and Breitling are defined by their unwavering technological progress, world-leading craftsmanship and a modern and pioneering spirit.”
