Bid for Princess Diana’s first “post-engagement” appearance dress

Not too many people would have the courage to step into the shoes of Diana, the Princess of Wales. If you think you can, then this should be a god-sent opportunity. A black dress worn by Princess Di in her first public appearance after her engagement to the Prince of Wales in 1981 is all set to go under the hammer. Not the best choice of colors especially for the usually demure royal family, the dress was believed to be destroyed by the traumatized princess. In reality, the nervous lady lost so much of weight in the run up to her hyped wedding, that the designers David and Elizabeth Emanuel thought it better to re-design the dress in a smaller size and held back the dress till it resurfaced.
