World’s most expensive surfboard fails to fetch a bid at $1 million

I don’t remember Baywatch from its original show, as much as I remember it from the sit-com Friends’ early days instead. Yeah, the same show is known for Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, and David Hasselhoff showing off their assets, so to speak. But if you forgot, the show was about saving lives at sea and actually involved some surfing equipment. And from there comes the world’s most expensive surfboard, the “Baywatch” surfboard, which is up for grabs for a staggering $1,000,000! The seller describes the 7’1″ red Malibu with the yellow “Baywatch” logo as “An item that has been used previously. The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended. This item may be a floor model or store return that has been used.”

He comes back to reality, too, as he adds, “This board comes with a 100% Money Back Guarantee for 10 years. If you are unhappy with it for whatever reason, your money will be refunded, minus a minimal 10% restocking fee. OK, now wake up and step back into reality; this may be the first time this board has ever been listed on eBay, so I’m starting the listing high, but I can relist it at a more affordable and reasonable price if you are interested. I was thinking of starting the bidding at $499. Let me know if you would be interested and at what price you would be willing to start the bidding at.” And considering that bidding closed yesterday, and it remained unsold, collectors are getting wiser with time!
