You can win this historic French chateau worth $1.65 million for just $14

You’d probably label me crazy if I told you that you could own a gigantic French-styled Chateau for £10! But, believe me the offer is just as legit as any other! A brit, by the name of Ruth Phillips is all set to offer her 350-year old castle as a competition prize, and we frankly cannot contain the excitement any longer!

Built in 1667, the chateau is an awe-inspiring piece of heritage and architecture, and it can well be your home now! Named Chateau de Cautine, the property is situated in the most easterly point of the Dordogne, in the Department of Corrèze. It comes with a total of 9 bedrooms, a swimming pool, 30 acres of stunning land, a piggery and even a separate three-bedroom cottage and two large stone barns. The whole of the castle is predominantly French styled with antiques that can mesmerize you within minutes. The precious chateau is also said to have been used as a refuge for Jewish families during World War II and thus comes with its own share of history.

Valued for £1.23m, the sprawling home will be given away in a competition that aims at funding a community interest company run by Ruth – The Eco Village Development Company, which will build affordable, alternative housing. Additionally, five per cent of all ticket sales income will also be donated to St Petroc’s Society, a Cornish charity for homeless people. So if you’re a resident of England, Scotland and Wales, pick up that £10 bill and get going!
