Designer Christian Louboutin may have long been recognized for painting women’s stiletto soles red. But this time, he’s letting women pick their own shades when it comes to nail paint. 33 to be precise. That’s correct the monsieur of high heels has moved to high-end polish. Although, from what we hear, this is only his first pedicured step to taking over the beauty department!
Collaborating with Batallure Beauty, Christian Louboutin Beauté (French, naturally) the footwear maverick has launched ordinary colors in extraordinary bottles. Now your favorite shades can find themselves in octagon-shapes with tall spiked caps. One thing remains though- the underside of each cap comes painted red.
“This is the launch of a true luxury beauty company,” said Robin Burns-McNeill, chairman of Batallure Beauty and cofounder of Christian Louboutin Beauté, as first enamel, Rouge Louboutin hit Saks Fifth Avenue and Louboutin store shelves. In chic Pop, Nude and Noir, these are priced at $50 a bottle. The rest 30 shades come out 31st August.
