Can you spot the difference – A Chinese lookalike of Elon Musk has left the world’s richest man in a fix.

Do you believe in doppelgangers? Folk wisdom has it that everyone has a doppelganger. Some people think there are seven look-alikes of us worldwide, not just one. They could be the perfect duplicate of you, with your mother’s eyes, your father’s nose, and probably better hair! The world’s richest man Elon Musk seems to have found one of his look-alikes in China. In the eastern China province of Jiangsu, the unnamed man from Suzhou has become an overnight sensation owing to his uncanny resemblance to the SpaceX CEO. There has already been so much brouhaha over their likeness the viral news has reached Musk himself.

The Chinese man first posted an image of him posing and smiling next to a luxurious car to Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok. Like wildfire, this observation of vigilant Netizens spread across Facebook and Twitter. According to Global Times, even Elon Musk couldn’t ignore the unusual occurrence and replied jokingly to his ‘long-lost twin brother.’ Musk said on Monday that “Maybe I’m partly Chinese.” If it wasn’t for his strong Chinese accent, he could’ve indeed fooled a lot of people. Other than Elon Musk’s witty reply, the internet too came up with funny names for the doppelganger.

Some called him Elon Mosaic, while one called him Clone Musk. A netizen even christened the man with a Chinese name, “Yi Long Musk.” Many people were finding it hard to believe the likeness and suggested the Asian Musk could have used AI face to mimic the features of Musk. The Chinese man promised to do a live stream on Sunday to prove the cynics wrong. According to New.Com.au, the video has been shared more than 10,000 times on the platform and is reposted on Weibo, Facebook, and Twitter.
