Lo and Behold, as the very first trailer of ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace’ is finally here! The real-life crime story is now part of an upcoming season of American Crime Story that will officially air in January 2018. As expected, its first trailer is nothing but thrilling and has got us hooked and going for the start of next year!
Opening with Antonio D’Amico, Versace’s partner (played by Ricky Martin) streaming out of the Versace Mansion for help, the trailer proceeds to capture a minute and half of seriously gripping events. With lawyers and policemen swamping the place, the clipping shows Donatella (played by a blonde Penelope Cruz) in a perturbed state as she murmurs, “’He was a creator, he was a genius, everything you see around us, this house, this company… I will not allow this man, this nobody, (read Versace’s murderer played by Darren Criss) to kill my brother twice.”
A series of flashbacks and thrilling snaps later, the trailer ends in a soliloquy aimed at Versace followed by a scene showing a gun pointed at him with a dramatic sound of it being shot. The finishing prologue includes gripping statements such as – ‘This world has wasted me, yet this world also made you Mr Versace’ and ‘You’re a star, you’re not better than me, you’re the same.’ The only difference is you got lucky.’ With the release of The Assassination of Gianni Versace around the corner, we can’t wait to enter year 2018!
