As for Russian billionaire Suleyman Abusaidovich Kerimov, he got English singer Jessie J to fly down to Makhachkala, Russia, and perform at his private party held in a shopping mall. The hit number ‘Price Tag’ was
paid £300,000 ($465,000) for her performance at the function. The grande affair was attended by the who’s who of FC Anzhi Makhachkala – Kerimov’s Russian Premier League soccer club. Kerimov is ranked 118th on Forbes’ list of the world’s billionaires.
Kerimov seems to be the man with a big generous heart, who flounders money to take care of his team. After getting Anzhi on board in January, Kerimov signed the top-of-the-league players like Brazilian Roberto Carlos and Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto’o –who, as a result, became the world’s highest-paid soccer player leaving behind legends like Cristiano Ronaldo.
