Changing face of fashion: Drake and Nike announce a collaborative sub-label, Nocta

Drake’s love for dancing, acting, luxuries, and some stunning woman is rather well-known. But there’s a part of Drake’s heart that solely belongs to Nike. This love has translated into something wonderful for the world as the stalwarts have officially announced the launch of a new sub-line Nocta, a reference to the rapper’s nocturnal creative process. The new joint project will put a heavy emphasis on functionality as well as comfort drawing inspiration from Drake’s creative process and the street fashion scenes of Toronto, London, and Paris. Nike also shared images of Nocta co-branded winter jackets in yellow and black as well as hoodies to announce the sub-label’s arrival. Alongside the announcement of the collection came an essay penned by Drake himself. “Nocta is a realization of all these thoughts and everything I had hoped for — from the culture it’s rooted into the product and, most importantly, to the partnership and scale that allows me to share it with the world. Nocta is about creating something for people on the move. People who want functional, comfortable fits that are adaptable from one environment to the next” Drake added.

Come December 18th, the items will be available on Nike’s website and perhaps on Nocta.com too. While no official list of items is out yet, we do know that there will be jackets, tracksuits, and gloves keeping the winter season in mind. Meanwhile, if you can’t wait to get your hands on some merchandise by Drake, why not try some candles that actually smell like him?
