If you’re a guitarist or simply love collecting eclectic music accessories, here’s your que on one of the most awe-inspiring must-haves of the season! We’re talking about the all-new and uber-glam guitar case by Gucci that was showcased on the ramp earlier this year at the Musei Capitolini in Rome.
Forming part of the much-acclaimed cruise 2020 collection, the guitar case is designed by creative director Alessandro Michele. It showcases the maverick’s maximalist design preferences at best and comes complete with vintage fabric and an all-over Mickey Mouse print. The quirk piece is made from polyurethane and is the brand’s latest collaboration with Disney.
In addition to the mickey-mouse inspired accessory, the cruise 2020 show also unveiled a guitar case with the brand’s brightly colored G motifs in hot yellows and pinks, or in jet black with the words “Gucci Band” stamped across an appliqué leather exterior. Both pieces are expected to cost $9188 or Dh33,750 in total.
This isn’t the first time that Gucci has played its strings on a Guitar. Back in the year 2000, the marquee introduced 18 limited edition units of the instrument in collaboration with famed luthier Marc Nichol. Most of them were sold in the brand’s stores while few were presented as a token of appreciation to musicians such as Madonna, Elton John, The Edge of U2 and Sting. Well, all said, owing a Gucci guitar case is just the glamour that our musical selves need this season!
