There are practical jokes, and then there’s Debauchery, a lifestyle brand that’s giving one lucky person the chance to own $85,000 worth of perfume, body wash and soap alongside a free 1988 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur. Debauchery is a very new entrant to the crowded lifestyle space, so it seems fitting that it would make a splash with an offer that’s almost too easy to pass up. Though it must be said, the brand’s done a great job of getting itself attention with this listing for a lifetime supply of musky scent with a free old-world luxury car (with its own signature scent of leather and wood) thrown in.
At the heart of it all is Debauchery’s signature fragrance, DB01, which was debuted at Paris Fashion Week and is said to encapsulate vintage New York. It’s apparently unusual for a brand to debut a scent at the fashion week but we bet it’s even more unusual for one to create a scent based on the busiest city in the world. Especially one with a smell that’s often been described as hot garbage. That aside, Debauchery’s marketing material is right at the cutting edge. Of… fashion, satire, irony? All of the above, likely. In case you’ve forgotten, Rolls-Royce also takes its fragrances quite seriously.
It’s still unclear whether the whole thing is an elaborate prank to show that rich people will buy just about anything. Debauchery’s DB01 is described as “indulgence without apology” and “floral sweat on bare skin”. It’s available as an eau de parfum, body wash and bars of soap made with beef tallow.
It’s all obviously high quality stuff, considering a single bottle of perfume retails for $170. Which is quite a steal compared to the 4,100 items you need to buy for $85,000 to get the free Rolls-Royce. Of course, with the Rolls-Royce, you also get unbeatable swag that only comes with a nearly 40-year-old luxury car.
