If you ever thought the Minions were just another cartoon character, you’re hugely mistaken. The cuddly, loveable yellow creatures of the Despicable Me fame, will soon be featured in retail stores in a minion-inspired fashion line, called the “Minions Bello Yellow Collection” – bello meaning “hello” in Minion language.
The fashion line comes ahead of the movie prequel “Minions”, which is set to hit the big screens this June. The movie, starring Sandra Bullock as the villainous Scarlet Overkill takes place in New York and London in the swinging ‘60s and the collection takes inspiration of this period.
The clothing and accessories have been put together by designers Giles Deacon, Piers Atkinson and Rupert Sanderson, are stylish yet ridiculously cute and would easily appeal to both young and adult fans. The collection includes a Rupert Sanderson high heel pump, Piers Atkinson minion inspired hats, sweatshirts and denim and Giles Deacon dresses and T-shirts and all featuring the ageless, adorable Minion print.
The collection opens exclusively at Selfridges in London and Manchester June 11 and will be available globally from July.
