Scoring with sunglasses: Cristiano Ronaldo launches a dapper line of sunglasses called CR7


We may never be able to emulate International football star, Cristiano Ronaldo’s talent on the field but we sure can do the same with his sense of style. The football star is a legend on the field and one of the most stylish men on the planet so when a man of such panache and expertise gives you help in the fashion department, you grab it with both hands. The Portuguese soccer star has collaborated with Lapo Elkann’s Italia Independent for a brand-new collection of stylish sunglasses. A year-plus worth of design efforts and CR7 eyewear is on our lives now to make us look as sassy as possible. The line will consist of seven models from classic silhouettes in subtle tones to bolder and more colorful retro-style selections; all inspired by and designed with the help of Ronaldo himself and in as many as five colorways each. Every detail is deeply related to the iconic sportsman and holds meaning in his life, for instance, the collection features a total of seven distinct styles which is a reference to Ronaldo’s jersey number. The number seven also makes an appearance into each frame along with the athlete’s signature imprinted onto each lens. Furthermore, each model is available in one of five colorways, bringing the total collection to 35 pieces, one for each year of Ronaldo’s life. Speaking of the pieces in the collection, they fall into three categories- acetate, metal and injected plastic and the frames are versatile enough to match every mood, outfit, and face!


The Cristiano Ronaldo CR7 sunglasses will be available in over 70 countries alongside a dedicated international e-commerce platform that will give shoppers a better understanding of the CR7 brand. All seven CR7 eyewear models are available now through the brand’s website with prices ranging from $79 to $150.
