Take a look at the complete Ikea x Virgil Abloh collection

Earlier in the year, Virgil Abloh designed an uber-chic rug for Ikea that was sold out within minutes of its launch. And in taking their successful partnership forward, the brands will soon unveil the exclusive Markerad collection: a 15-piece ensemble of contemporary furniture and beddings that aims to woo art-loving millennials across the globe.

Consisting of bedding, furniture, rugs and a clock, the premium collection aligns with Ikea’s “democratic design concept” and is the perfect combination of affordability and style. Pieces in the ensemble are mainly inspired by Scandinavian modernism and are designed to be simple yet appealing to the modern eye.

On sale will be a low-pile 3-by-7-foot rug that is modelled after the humble Ikea receipt ($99), a shopping bag in two sizes emblazoned with the words “SCULPTURE” on it ($24.99) and a dark green rug inscribed with the words “WET GRASS” ($249).

Other items include a table and chair made of light beech wood ($399 and $149), a glass door cabinet and a day bed ($199 each), amongst a range of other contemporary furniture and bedding options.

The Ikea X Virgil Abloh Markerad collection will officially launch on November 1st at the marquee’s Wembley and Croydon store, with special access tickets for the day being released on Friday- October 18th at 10am.
