In adding a dash of glamour to your plain-Jane headphones, the maverick has recently unveiled AirPods encrusted with dazzling diamonds! Yes, that’s right!
Part of the “NEW MATERIALISM” series which aims to seamlessly fuse the worlds of art and commerce together, Delucca unveils the exclusive piece entitled Object No. 1. An ode to Apple’s near-perfect earphones, the novel creation decks the AirPods in white gold and 1,0000 individuals VVS natural, mined diamonds. Each of the specially crafted pieces is further inscribed with an edition number and creation date and comes with a marble stand for charging.
Object No. 1 AirPods is limited to just 25 units, priced at $20,000 USD each. The diamond-encrusted wonders can further be bought only via direct message inquiry on the artist’s Instagram page before public release. Although there isn’t much word about the rest the pieces in the “NEW MATERIALISM” series, other recent offerings by Delucca include his exclusive diamond and gold tooth fillings for clients as well as a redesign of the YEEZY 700 Analog.
