Laduree creates special macaroons for Donna Karan’s 30th anniversary

Almost a fortnight ago, we were excited with the news of Jimmy Choo’s edible collection at The Berkeley in London. The trend advances as Donna Karan steps into a similar alliance. Celebrating their 30th anniversary this fall, fashion label Donna Karan collaborated with French Patisserie Ladurée to dream up a delectable box of macaroons. The perfectly round cookie sandwiches will make their debut during New York Fashion Week.

Inspired by Donna Karan New York’s autumn and fall collection, these Parisian treats will placed in an embellished box reflecting New York’s enchanting skyline with hues of midnight black and gold. Bite into creative flavors of dark chocolate, vanilla and caramel accompanied with salted butter.

You need not possess an invite to Fashion Week to relish this special-edition box – walk by Ladurée’s Upper East Side and West Broadway patisseries to be tempted.

Designer inspired treats from Ladurée’s kitchen isn’t a surprise for me as such. Last Valentine’s Day, with the combined efforts of designer Reed Krakoff and Ladurée’s chefs, you had yourself an incredibly chic box of matte black dark chocolate macaroons. In the past, Louboutin and Marni have stamped their signatures on the French patisserie’s collections.
