Molecule-R’s AROMAFORK takes fine dining to whole new, fragrant levels

Have a fab-food craving even something like our 11 most expensive restaurants in America list won’t fix? Then it’s probably time to swing over to the olfactive! What’s that? An experience that introduces aromas to the art of tasting and not in a tried and tested way but through a patented piece of cutlery! Introducing the AROMAFORK™. And it is exactly what the name suggests.

“The initial idea was to reinvent the traditional fork into an improved utensil that would trick people’s mind by liberating an intense flow of aromas; but we soon realized that the AROMAFORK could also become the perfect educational tool to learn how to better appreciate food!” explained Jonathan Coutu, President of MOLECULE-R Flavors Inc.

So, thanks to Montreal-based MOLECULE-R Flavors, us mere taste buds using mortals can now expand our tasting horizons by involving the nose, which is capable of distinguishing countless subtle flavors in a way that the tongue isn’t. All through the Aroma R-EVOLUTION kit. Sold as part of the kit, the AROMAFORK™ and its set of 21 aromas can forever change the way we eat.

Here’s a tutorial on how to use it-
The fork comes with an array of aromas such as “Beans” – chocolate, coffee, and vanilla, fruit aromas, herbs, spices such as cinnamon and wasabi, and even 4 “Umami” aromas – butter, olive oil, smoke and truffle.

A blotting paper is maintained underneath the fork handle, allowing the volatile components of a liquid aroma to be diffused upon absorption. Needless to say, traditional seasoning can be replaced with volatile flavoring.
