New York is getting its own museum of ice cream

After debuting its first permanent store in San Francisco, the Museum of Ice Cream is all set to open doors to its flagship outlet in New York. Considering the city’s love for all things prime and fancy, the store is expected to be an instant hit amongst the New Yorkers, making them scream for ice-cream (and a host of other delicious desserts) within an instance. The larger-than-life store has been in development for over three years and is expected to open this fall at 558 Broadway in SoHo.

Designed as a three-story space, the Museum of Ice Cream, New York will span nearly 25,000 square feet and will feature 13 all-new, multi-sensory installations, including a “Celestial Subway,” floating table of sweet treats, a three-story slide, a hall of giant scoops, a giant “Queen Bee Hive” and exclusive ice cream tastings. The uber chic store will also house the brand’s biggest sprinkle pool to-date.

Commenting on the store’s NYC debut, co-founder, Maryellis Bunn, who is also MOIC’s creative director stated, “I want to continue to connect people and create moments of joy through ice cream. MOIC NYC will build upon Soho’s artistic history and contribute to the neighborhood’s resurgence as a place for imagination and creativity”. Tickets at store will be priced at $38 USD per person and children under 2 years old will be allowed to enter for free. Well, we’re super stoked for the opening of MOIC, NY, are you?
