This marriage of Nobu flavors with Louis XIII cognac promises to be an exceptional dining experience

Louis XIII and Nobu Cape Town have partnered to create a bespoke dining experience that pairs the world-famous gourmet flavors of Nobu with the unique profiles of Louis XIII cognac. This is a masterfully curated five-course experience that has been designed to elevate both the cognac and the flavors of Nobu’s cuisine.

So what can you expect? Nobu Chef de Cuisine, Hervé Curtot and LOUIS XIII Private Client Director Jörg Pfützner have put together a menu that features decadent dishes like scallop with foie gras, vanilla miso and a balsamic reduction; langoustine with caviar, Gomma dressing and crispy shitake; New York-style black cod, yuzu miso with kataifi; a Chilean sea bass with dashi Ponzu; and slow-cooked Wagyu flambé and truffle rice. Each menu item echoes the key elements of Louis XIII cognac, bringing out its harmony, decadence and exceptional flavors.
The experience promises to be a rewarding dinner for anyone who loves cognac and fine dining. These sort of professionally paired dining experiences are rare and memorable. The LOUIS XIII Gourmand Experience will be available for bookings for parties of six from next week onwards while a lighter version of the experience will also be available for couples.
