Toronto man surprises his wife with a $900 ultra luxurious cupcake

Sure money can’t buy love but it can buy you cupcake. A man in Toronto hired Lisa Sanguedolce of the famed Le Dolci Cupcakes and Cakes pastry shop in Toronto’s west-end to create an extravagant cupcake for his wife’s birthday to be made using her favorite items. The cupcake was created using finest ingredients available from all over the world including a limited-edition Courvoisier cognac, sea salt and rare butter from France, Kona Blue Mountain coffee from Hawaii, 24-karat gold flakes and exquisite chocolate.

The pastry cream filling was made with a 21-year-old Courvoisier, Rosewood Estate honey and an essence of Tahitian vanilla beans. The double chocolate frosting was prepared with Normandy butter, made by a historic French butter cooperative, and mixed with 70% Amedei Italian-made chocolate.
