A coffee table made from a shot-blasted 5.2-liter Lamborghini V10 engine

The raging bull wouldn’t look better from the inside than in this rendition of a perfect, auto heads coffee table. Back in 2003, the Lamborghini Gallardo was mounted with the V10 engine that later found its use in the Huracan and R8. It is originally an aluminum-alloy engine with 4 valves per cylinder, a 90-degree vee angle, a dry slump, and 84.5 x 92.8 mm bore/stroke. This once-amazing piece of engineering today serves a very different purpose.

Thanks to some shot-blasted treatment, the Lamborghini V10 engine is now the center piece of every social gathering. How, you may ask? The engine has been repurposed to serve as a table. The makers have gingerly powder-coated this one to look as ornamental as is allowed in a sleek domestic setting. Four sturdy legs that pretty much appear to be a part of the ensemble hold the engine table up. Perched atop the table is a 650 mm x 750 mm glass top that brags about being British Standard Certified.

Some illumination would really set this thing up prettily, and that’s just what you can expect from the included white LED lights powered by 3 AA batteries.

It’s available for purchase at Bonhams for £2,000 ($2,840) to £3,000 ($4,258).
