Bentley debuts Home Collection, luxurious furniture for homes and offices

Maison & Objet Fair is on in Paris. And guess who’s made an appearance? Bentley Motors’ Home Collection! The luxury car brand presented its full furniture range at the prestigious event. And by ‘full furniture range’, I mean luxuriant pieces for the home, boardroom, everything. So after a sneak peek at home chic by way of last year’s capsule collection, the brand has expanded its range with the help of architect Carlo Colombo and Daniele Ceccomori, Bentley’s Product Design Head.

Created in collaboration with Luxury Living Group, one of Europe’s leading furniture makers, the car manufacture recreates the sophisticated aesthetics of all Bentley models. How it does so is by keeping a color palette that is stylish, yet simple. Mocha, cognac, taupe, quartz, grey and ice, lend it a natural air while variations of purple-red, burgundy, brick red or blue add to its fashionable flair. Use of tactile leather and sensuous textiles, with hints of male attire, pinstripe or houndstooth, seen in the lightest of cashmeres and velvets introduce a reminiscence of the Bentley driver.

Finely crafted leather upholstery, with its signature quilted diamond pattern or elegant padded texture, as well as hand-knotted carpets, made of fine wools, silk or pashmina and blankets hemmed in mink further enhance the collection. “The Home Collection embodies Bentley’s emergence as a modern high luxury brand. It combines sophisticated materials with contemporary design and the ultimate in bespoke craftsmanship,” said Kevin Rose, board member of Bentley’s Sales & Marketing. Below, we take a look at a few results of said combination.

MINSTER SOFA

Swathed in glorious leather or fabric, this ultra plush purple-red couch is the stuff living room dreams are made of. Only, the dreams could be a velvet reality, with burgundy velvet piping along the edges.

BUTTERFLY SOFA & ARMCHAIR

The Butterfly Sofa & Armchair look as good as they sound. While the former is in distinguished ivory leather, the latter comes in a pinstriped fabric, quilted in fine, grey wool. With seats that are plush and deep, and encased in a shell quilted with Bentley’s iconic diamond pattern, both pieces pose a subtlety that stands out.

RICHMOND BED

The Richmond bed a.k.a. bed extraordinaire is an exemplar of all things Bentley, something you will recognize as soon as you lay eyes on its stylistic beauty. Its roomy design, besides being a nod to Bentley models is a masterful display of excellently crafted materials. Said materials could include quilted leather or precious briar root as well as a headboard lined with iridescent sand-colored satin wool.

AMBASSADOR SIDEBOARD

“In line with modern architectural themes,” the Ambassador sideboard is an elegant display of majesty. Its steel gunmetal structure and lava-colored leather is further reinforced with briar root or Ebony Macassar veneering, rendering an unparalleled expressiveness to this very poetic piece.

HARLOW ARMCHAIR

Borrowing from the iconic film director’s chair, the Harlow is liner, luxe-d up and sophisticated in cognac-colored leather. The metal buckles with leather bands on the armrests reference typical masculinity while the steel gunmetal base poignantly upholds the seating.
