While staycations are bliss, the nagging of checking-in and checking out on time is quite a bummer. But here to ease the pain is The Peninsula Hotels with its novel policy. The luxury chain has recently announced plans to scrap pre-fixed check-in schedules, meaning guests can show up and leave free will!
The new arrival and departures will not mean any added costs, as confirmed by a hotel official. A statement by the hotel read: “When [guests] book a room, suite, or villa, it is theirs for one night — even if they check-in at 6 a.m. on their arrival date and check out at 10 p.m. on their departure date.” The new program will be rolled out at Peninsula properties worldwide in the near future.
In addition to the flexible check-ins, the hospitality chain will also ease cancellation policies. Onward January, guests can cancel by 3 p.m. one day before arrival and change reservations without penalty for up to 12 months from the booking date. Peninsula will also replace amenities such as shower caps, toothbrushes, and razors, which formerly incorporated petroleum-based plastics with ecological alternatives.
