Because selfies are passe’ – This luxury villa in the Dominican Republic offers guests oil paintings of themselves


Customer satisfaction is probably the most important factor for consideration in the hospitality industry. And while top players in the market leave no stone unturned in pleasing their guests, its this lesser-known luxury villa in that has nailed the concept with an innovative idea instead.

In adding a personal touch to its services and treating guests as numero uno, the Dominic republic hotel – called Villa de Campo has recently decided to hand out oil painted portraits to guests that feature none other than themselves. The move has been welcomed in close association with oil-painting experts Nobilified who along with the hotel’s staff will decorate the chosen villas with hand-painted portraits of their guest’s faces, in an attempt to please and spoil them silly!

The portraits will be completed by the artists before the guest’s arrival and will in hung in their rooms throughout their stay at the hotel. While departing, they can carry the creations back home as a parting souvenir. Commenting on the initiative, Chris Jensen, the founder of Nobilified, in a statement said, “Our aim is to capture one’s memories in art, “He further added, “We want guests of the villas to remember all the small things that made their holiday one to remember. When they get home, they will hang the piece, and each time they look at the piece, they will remember their holiday. We think that is special.” Well, a trip to Villa de Campo certainly awaits us all!
