Suite of the week – The magnificent Imperial Suite at the Sofitel BKC, Mumbai, India

When the flagship hotel of Sofitel Luxury Hotels India stamped its signature mark in the BKC district of Mumbai, one wondered how it would distinguish itself from the already established herd of five star hotels in the city; but Sofitel did not fail to impress.

Dressed to impress, the Sofitel BKC has been designed by a lethal combination of the BBGM architects, the interior designers at Miaja Design Group. The hotel design embraces modern and elegant interiors creating a French contemporary feel with a blend of Indian colors, shapes and patterns. The marble and chandeliers for the lobby are sure to grab your attention.

The deluxe hotel offers a lavish spread of six eateries and bars, including the round-the-clock Pondichéry Café; Artisan, Épicerie, Pâtisserie, Chocolaterie the Le Bar Diamantaire.

sofitel-mumbai-imperial-suite-2Our personal favourite at the hotel was the Imperial Suite. Generously spread over 1700 square feet of space, the spacious suite exudes luxury from your first step in.

The marble-clad bathrooms adjoining each bedroom comprise of designer toiletries and the en-suite office features state-of-the-art technology. Throw in an additional guest bathroom and a kitchenette, and voila – you have a lavish apartment at your service.

sofitel-mumbai-imperial-suiteInteriors of the suite are a unique blend between French and Indian nuances with a series of artworks splashed across the walls. The theme of the two cultures carries forth into the rooms with Indian motifs outlining curtains, windows and lining the ceiling.
