The newest gourmet offering at The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong is the Almas Caviar Bar, which opened doors on September 26, and added another feather to the city’s outstanding dining scene. At the Almas Caviar Bar, diners are in for exclusivity all the way with seating available to only seven guests at a time. Sitting on Level 102, the restaurant is decked in a classic grandeur of dark wooden flooring and leather furnishings with a four-meter-subtly-lit chandelier that provides soft warmth to the elegant bar.
The Almas Caviar Bar takes its name from its premium caviar Almas Persicus, found in the Acipenser Persicus sturgeon of the Caspian Sea. Almas Caviar Bar is Asia’s sole official retailer of this legendary caviar. In addition to Almas Persicus, the bar also offers Prunier, Tradition, Paris, Heritage and Oscietra Classic caviar varieties. The caviars are traditionally served with blinis, crème fraîche, chopped red onions, egg white and lemon wedges allowing diners to customize their own delicacies. Champagnes and vodkas, including Caviar House Champagne Brut, Caviar House Champagne Rosé and Beluga Vodka Classic, are available on the wine list to further enhance and enjoy these delicacies.
The menu also features the Balik salmon fillet, from the Barents Sea above Norway. Made from the back fillet, the most premium cut of the salmon, the Fillet Tsar Nikolaj No 1 is smoked in a kiln used in the court of the last Russian Tsar Nikolaj II.
Pierre Perusset, general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, said, “With the addition of Almas Caviar Bar to our existing five restaurants and bars, we refine and complement our culinary offerings”.
