Miranda Kerr to create new holiday jewelry lines for Swarovski

Australian beauty Miranda Kerr who has been the face of Swarovski since 2013, will now design two new jewelry lines for the brand for the holiday season. Called Duo and Diapason, the two fashion jewelry lines will become available next fall.

Diapason is based on romantic and classic designs and will feature clear crystals and V-shaped and Y-shaped necklaces. Duo is designed for layering and will presumably feature more modern and minimalistic designs such as necklaces with thin chains and symbol pendants in crystal pavé and cut-out rose-gold plating, and gemstone-colored crystals. The Duo jewelry is split into categories called Love, Joy, Spirit, Strength, Grace and Luck. Love is symbolized by a heart motif, Joy by a star, Strength by an evil eye, and so forth. Each jewel comes with a mantra attached.
Kerr herself will feature in the holiday campaign which will be shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. She will wear designs from the Diapason collection with a Stardust Deluxe bracelet and a Crystalline Oval watch.
“It’s such a wonderful opportunity to be able to work with a brand that I know and that has such a strong history and has all of these amazing resources, and the technology and the experience,” Kerr explained to Women’s Wear Daily in an interview, adding, “This is another extension of my creative side. What I really enjoy doing is creating pieces that are not only beautiful but also meaningful. Like with this collection, each little charm has a special meaning.”
