World’s most expensive non-jeweled chocolate egg created for Faberge Egg Hunt

If you thought that Faberge is only creating ripples with the egg hunt and its bejeweled egg as a prize, then this news will surely interest you. Although not too rare, a hand-crafted Faberge chocolate egg will try and become the world’s most expensive non-jeweled chocolate egg as it goes under the hammer next month. Willam Curley, who is also five time winner of the title of best chocolatier by the Academy of Chocolate in Britain, has creating the giant egg using exotic and expensive materials including Tuscan Amedei dark chocolate and Japanese Wasabi chocolate.

Going under the hammer on March 20th, it hopes to break the current Guinness World Record for the most expensive non-jeweled chocolate egg tagged at £1,000 ($1,570). Incidentally, this sale will also be a part of The Faberge Big Egg Hunt. Proceeds from the event will aid the Action for Children and Elephant Family charities.
