Wedding is always a special time for the lucky couple, other than the people who put all the ceremony and savories together. And the icing on the cake, quite literally, is when the cake maker himself is the groom, right? Well at least this seems to be the case in North Ayrshire, Scotland. At nine feet high and five-and-a-half feet wide, made with half a ton of mixed fruit, 20 KGs of marzipan, almost 3,000 eggs and with 20 bottles of Rum, this delicious master piece took 3 months in the making. And with almost 3,000 Swarovski crystals, this baby is touted to be Britain’s largest and most expensive wedding cake! Sprinkled with diamonds, the cake will certainly add sparkle to the wedding.

And it’s heavy too; as a forklift was required to place the cake at the right location inside the wedding venue apart from additional strengthen of the floor below. The cake with all its 15 tiers would be enough to feed at least 20,000 people. The groom plans to give off the cake leftovers as charity. What a sweet thought by a mighty heart!
