When I have vertically dropped, my stomach churned, experience a 27.5-meter near-vertical drop down the face of the Ziggurat before being propelled along a clear acrylic tunnel through a shark-filled lagoon. Another great experience from the Tower of the Neptune is the Master Blaster Water Coasters. I thoroughly enjoyed this ride as it propels you down the tunnel with force, completing the exhilaration with a few bumps in a dark tunnel.
A newly developed wing at the Atlantis, Dubai, offers an additional 17 acres of adrenaline rush. Housing the world’s largest diameter slide, the Tower of Poseidon is the newest attraction at the resort, with a 40-meter tower packed with thrilling new rides. The innovative experience also offers the world’s first vertical family ride. The first double slide within a slide experience allows tube riders to watch fellow ride sliders in action suspended above them. Another new attraction is a two-chute slide allowing friends to have fun simultaneously around 182 meters of queasily winding twists and turns.
The New Tower includes Middle East’s longest zip line circuit. At 500 meters long, guests sweep through the sky at an altitude of 20 meters, with views of the Palm and beyond. Poseidon’s Revenge is a dizzying slide running through the center of the tower, where two people are instantaneously dropped from trapdoor capsules to dash down 116 meters of the slide. The slide has a breathtaking knee-jerking five-meter vertical drop and a 360-degree loop taken at 60kph.
Dolphin Bay in Atlantis offers a range of dolphin experiences suitable for all ages and swimming abilities, providing the ultimate dolphin habitat experience. In addition to splashing in the water, visitors can also get a real-life marine experience by diving in a shark-infested lagoon, exploring the depths of a shark safari, or even feeding Cownose Rays.
