These intricately detailed 1:8 scale models of the Lamborghini Countach LP400 and Revuelto take 400 hours to build by hand and can cost more than a real Toyota Corolla

Attention all Lamborghini fans! UK-based scale-model manufacturer Amalgam has released officially licensed 1:8 scale examples of the iconic Countach LP400 and the all-new Revuelto to celebrate the Italian marque’s past and present. The intricately detailed replicas are hand-built using thousands of precisely engineered parts, and each example takes around 400 hours to complete. Starting with the Countach replica, it captures the original 1974 LP400 designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone in extreme detail. The scale model measures 20 inches long and is available in Giallo Fly or Rosso. Like the real car, the scissor doors open vertically to reveal a highly accurate steering wheel, gauge cluster, gated manual shifter, stereo, speaker indents, and window cranks.

Pop open the front hood, and you’ll find a 1:8 replica of the spare tires and other mechanical components. Even the headlights go up and down like on the real first-generation Countach. Opening the engine cover reveals the glorious recreation of the 4.0-liter V12, which includes red spark wires and throttle linkages for the carbs. It took 4000 hours to develop the Countach scale model. Amalgam will make only 199 examples of the Countach scale model, each priced at £14,835 (about $18,750).

In addition to the Countach replica, Amalgam has announced a 1:8 scale model of the Revuelto, the manufacturer’s newest production supercar that replaced the Aventador in its line-up. Measuring 22 inches, every exterior and interior feature is accurately replicated on the scale model, including minute details like the color of the stitching on the seats, the license plates, and the brake calipers.

Unlike the Countach scale model, buyers can choose from a replica of the standard launch specification, priced at around $16,500, or spend about $23,500 for a bespoke tailormade version. The Countach LP400 replica is already available for purchase, while Amalgam is currently accepting pre-orders for the Revuelto models, and production will start later this year.

Note – A Toyota Corolla starts at $22,050.
