Nissan GT-R is every boy-racers dream machine. To give it an image makeover, Nissan has unveiled a special edition 2014 GT-R limited to 100 units worldwide, out of which 50 are reserved for the US. The special edition GT-R will come with a hand-painted “Midnight Opal” exterior, a deeper shade of purple. In addition to the custom paint, it’ll also feature hyper-titanium colored coating on the RAYS® forged lightweight wheels, which will be offered in the US markets for the first time. The GT-R will have a dry carbon spoiler at the rear, also found on GT-R Black and Track editions. For authenticity, Nissan will give each special edition a unique gold-plated plaque in the engine bay.
The 2014 special edition GT-R is based on the Premium model and will have an advanced VR38DETT 3.8-liter twin turbo V6 powertrain capable of churning out 545-HP.
US sales of the GT-R SE are slated to begin in September this year and will come for a price of $105,590.
