This August, Aston Martin will launch their first ever ice driving event – New Zealand on Ice- in the southern hemisphere. The event will take place on New Zealand’s South Island and the car company is inviting “anyone with a passion for driving, regardless of previous experience.” Guests will have the chance to drive some seriously stylish cars at the Southern Hemisphere Proving Ground – a purpose built ice driving facility, based near Queenstown. The proving ground consists of ten dedicated ice fields. Guests will learn all about the Aston Martin range under the tutelage of the company’s professional instructors.
During the event, you can avail of the 3 night package at the Millbrook Resort in Queenstown which includes a welcome drinks reception, a full day of snow and ice driving, a day for optional lifestyle activities, and an awards dinner. The resort is an award winning establishment and offers a peaceful slice of rural New Zealand life.
“The New Zealand On Ice program will be an unforgettable experience, not least with the recent confirmation that DB11 will included in the model line-up for the event,” said Patrick Nilsson regional director at Aston Martin, Asia Pacific. “Guests will experience the power and soul of the various Aston Martin models on ice and snow in one of the most stunning locations in the world.”
Predictably, spaces for the event are limited so you make your booking through [email protected] as soon as you can. It’s not every day that you get to drive a wide range of luxury cars in a beautiful location!
