Forget pre-loved Hermès, turn your attention instead to this pre-loved superyacht, Energy. Stretching 255 feet, this Amels masterpiece is sailing toward the Monaco Yacht Show this September, where it is certain to steal the spotlight as one of the most opulent custom builds on display. Launched in 2022 for the former deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, the vessel saw only light use and now carries a staggering $232 million price tag. While the figure surpasses that of many brand new launches, a single glance through its gallery (or better still, a tour at Monaco) will silence doubts. This floating palace is magnificence embodied.

The ship boasts interiors by French design house Zuretti and exterior design by Espen Øino. Step inside and you’ll find an endless parade of statement lighting, gorgeous fixtures, dazzling chandeliers, and bespoke designer lamps illuminating nearly every corner. Luxe veneers and a carefully curated color palette tie the aesthetic together.

The 2,885 GT Energy sleeps 14 guests in seven cabins. It is one of the few yachts that treats the guest cabins with almost equal flamboyance, except for the greater space found in the primary suite. From a sofa in the room to a dressing table and windows for the spectacular view, it’s all well thought out.

The upper deck belongs solely to the owner and features a semicircle window, a private foredeck with a Jacuzzi, a marble fire pit, and a lounge. Inside, the suite flows between a bedroom, a lavish ensuite complete with a large bathtub, and a vast dressing room fit for couture wardrobes and vanities alike.

There are umpteen lounging spaces aboard the pleasure craft, so much so that you will be spoiled for choice. Similarly, there are several bars ensuring refreshments and refreshing views go hand in hand, no matter what deck you’re perched on.

The bridge deck features a music lounge with a Steinway baby grand, a guitar for those who would like to add a touch of music to the air, a marble-topped bar, and a separate alfresco entertaining space. The main deck adds its own surprises, an office, plush seating, and a full-size martial arts room, a rare inclusion even by superyacht standards.

The beautiful formal dining room for 18 guests deserves a special mention. This stunning space, lavishly appointed, features impressive chandeliers, a bar close by, palatial in tone, the setting is the definition of grandeur. After an indulgent feast, the lower deck awaits, a sanctuary of wellness featuring a beauty salon, beach club, spa, sea-facing gym, sauna, and hammam.

Perhaps the name Energy reflects not just the vessel’s extravagant spirit but also the sense of rejuvenation it bestows on everyone who steps aboard. Energy superyacht is currently listed for sale with Burgess for $232 million.
Owner of Energy, Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi
Energy is owned by one of Ukraine’s wealthiest men, Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi. The Kyiv-born businessman and politician has built a fortune by diversifying across industries, with ventures in metal trading, banking, furniture retail, and stakes in dairy, soda, machinery, and bus factories. In 2005, he acquired a 61% stake in Inter TV, one of Ukraine’s largest television channels, for about $250 million.
Khoroshkovskyi’s career also extended deep into politics. He began as head of the Security Service of Ukraine, went on to serve as Minister of Finance, and by February 2012 was tipped to become the nation’s First Vice Prime Minister.

Today, with a net worth of $500 million according to SuperYacht Times, the father of three resides with his family in Koncha-Zaspa, the “Beverly Hills of Ukraine.” His palatial estate there echoes the same spirit of opulence and grandeur as the Energy superyacht itself.
