Heesen Yachts’ superyacht Santosha has successfully completed sea trials and is poised for delivery later this month. Named after the Sanskrit word ‘satisfaction,’ it reminds its secretive, affluent owners to “remain happy under any circumstances or be content with what we can achieve.” Evidently, they have achieved a lot, and the superyacht, first revealed at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show, is proof. The first of a new class of high-speed aluminium builds by the Dutch shipyard spans 187 feet in length and, after completing sea trials in the North Sea, is expected to be delivered to her owner’s very soon.

It is safe to say the ultra-involved owners steered the ship into a monument of serenity by adding their touches with interior designer Harrison Eidsgaard. They opted for sustainable materials like recycled wood for the Santosha yacht, preferring performance leather and art silk carpeting (silk made from reusable materials). The 780GT interior is divided among six stately guest suites decorated with custom artwork, a 375-square-foot beach club, and a master bathroom inspired by the Garden of Eden, according to Megayachtnews.

The sprawling master suite is even bigger than the beach club, a whopping 750 square feet, and includes a study. Symbolism is also a highlight of the luxury vessel, first observed in the lotus used as a logo for the pleasure craft. The second is a bas-relief snake in the master bedroom, a spirit animal that is also a reminder of the idea of new beginnings.
