Do you run a hyper-functional small startup that is desperately in need of a break, especially during this time of the year, but the nature of your company’s work simply won’t allow for it? Well, I have something that might interest you. South Korean automobile giant Hyundai has revealed its Universe Mobile Office which can be best described as a luxurious motor coach that takes remote work to the next level. The manufacturer says it developed the Universe Mobile Office as a smart mobility solution with the aim to lead the motor coach segment. It looks like a full-size RV from the outside and is in fact based on the company’s pre-existing Universe luxury passenger bus.
The interior space of the luxurious mobile office is split into three differently arranged seating areas and gets a host of luxurious amenities, including semi-automatic blinds and light-colored laminated floors. The forward group collaboration area can be used as a functional conference area. It is equipped with a video conferencing system, a foldable conference table, sofa seating, and a custom-made storage area. The mid-coach area gets personal workstations and looks more like the business class area inside an airplane with luxurious and comfortable reclining seats, tables, and wireless charging pads.
The Hyundai Universe Mobile Office has been in several different versions that offer different layouts on the inside. The range starts with the standard 10-seater variant, while buyers can also choose between a 13-seater (12+1) with one group collaboration area in the front or an expanded office area and a different 13-seater (11+1+1) version for transit and collaboration. Currently, the Hyundai Universe Mobile Office is only available in South Korea and there’s no word on its availability in international markets or its pricing.
