We are just a few days away from the 13th Beijing International Motor Show and all the big automakers from across the world are queuing up to showcase their line-up. Customized luxury cars and bespoke automobiles are hugely popular in China but before the Beijing Motor Show kicks off, Lamborghini has unveiled a very special edition of the Aventador has been created for actor Jackie Chan. Named the Lamborghini Aventador Jackie Chan Edition, the special edition was created in celebration of Jackie’s 60th birthday and has been personalized through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program.
As far as the bespoke customizations are concerned, the Jackie Chan Edition Aventador features a special Titanium Grey paint job, shiny black Nero Ade alloy wheels and red colored brake calipers. The combination of red and black continues on the inside; as a reference to the actor’s Chinese name ‘Cheng Long’, the word ‘Long’ embroidered in the headrests and doors. But the legendary actor will not keep the special edition Aventador and rather it will go up for auction and the money will be given the China Film Institute ‘Jackie Chan Charity Fund’ which supports the development of China’s film industry. Jackie Chan is not a name that is linked to sportscars or racing in particular which makes Lamborghini’s choice interesting, but given the fact that the actor is massively popular in China, this move will only help in the brand building process.
