Rolls-Royce creates its first anniversary-based car to commemorate Singapore’s 50th birthday

A while ago, we stumbled across a one-off Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, specially crafted to commemorate Singapore’s 50th Anniversary. According to recent gossip doing the rounds in the automotive realm, this isn’t the only supercar to celebrate the country’s anniversary! For the first time in history, Rolls-Royce has unleashed a car commemorating a country’s anniversary. The extremely special Ghost Series II was unveiled in Singapore only this week and has managed to grab headlines already. Clothed in English White and Consort Red, this Rolls-Royce will come with a price tag of at least $1.25 million.

What makes this super-luxury ride even more special than the fact that its Rolls-Royce’s first anniversary car is the unique coachline, hand-painted with Merlion motifs. The bespoke Merlion headrests inside took approximately 15,080 stitches and a number of different stitching styles to create. To make this Rolls-Royce distinct, the automaker has added treadplates with a highly-detailed imagery of the iconic Singaporean skyline. One thing’s for sure. If a Rolls-Royce is considered rare and unique, this special edition Ghost Series II, created especially for Singapore’s anniversary, is as common as a unicorn. The manufacturer has ensured that the car retains its original flavour, without compromising on looks and performance, while giving Singapore a fitting salute on its 50th anniversary.
